Good Morning, Church family
What a beautiful fall we have been having. I walk my dogs in the morning, and the air is crisp, and the sound of geese permeates the early day. I like fall.

On a friend’s Facebook page, she posted this poem written by Laura Jean Truman. It goes like this:
Keep my anger from becoming meaness.
Keep my sorrow from collapsing into self-pity.
Keep my heart soft enough to keep breaking.
Keep my anger turned toward justice, not cruelty.
Remind me that all of this, every bit of it, is for love.
Keep me fiercely kind.
This poem reminds me of a verse that Paul shares with us in Ephesians. Chapter 4:32 says Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. This week as we move into another season, may it be a season of grace and kindness to our fellow person.

DON’T FORGET THAT WE HAVE RETURNED TO 11:00am SERVICES.
SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR ALL AGES STARTS THIS WEEK! Sunday School takes place from 10:00-10:40am.In celebration of our first day back, please bring some snacks to share as a bit of a pre-church brunch, starting at 10:40. Adult Sunday School will be meeting in the sanctuary and will be teaching some short topical studies looking at what we believe as Christians and as Free Methodists. Children’s Sunday School will be meeting at the back classrooms. The elementary kids will be looking at Jesus and His miracles. The older kids will be determining a topic together once classes have started.

Save The Date! We are celebrating our Missionaries on September 29. Jason and Joanne will be sharing about their missionary journey that day. Then we will have a celebratory potluck and fun time centred around their mission work in Kenya. We are setting up a money tree that Sunday to be a special blessing for our missionaries.
We will be having membership classes in mid September. Please talk to Pastor Dyan if you are interested in finding out more.

Remember that there is Wednesday morning Prayer time at 9:30. A coffee time begins at 10:00 – everyone is welcome.

Please pray for the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and in the Middle East.
OUR MISSIONARIES: Jason and Joanne Borrowman, and Hannah. Please pray for them as they will be doing lots of travelling in Canada over the next months. They are heading west to BC over the next couple of weeks. Pray for safety, and for a moving of the Holy Spirit as they meet with many people and churches.
Pray for baby Harley Rose whose leg turned red and swollen. After xrays, they discovered that she had broken her leg, and that it had already healed. She is currently in the Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon as they sort out how this happened, or if there might be something causing her to have weak bones. Pray for Zach and Ashley (parents) who are understandably very worried.
Pray for Sandra Langlois who had a laminectomy surgery last week. Due to some cardiac issues, she was in the hospital for several days, but PRAISE GOD, she is home now. Pray for continued healing.
Pray for Marlene Schutte who is dealing with the painful effects of trigeminal neuralgia. She was able to get her MRI, but is still experiencing pain.
Pray for Bobbi Dorian. She had her MRI and they discovered some blood flow issues affecting nerves near her ears. With surgery, they may be able to stop the noises and problems in her right ear! This is great news. Unfortunately, it could take months before there is an opening for that surgery. Let us surround Bobbi with our prayers: that there would be a miraculous opening for that surgery in a very short time frame.
Praise God that Lynn Dernoga has settled into her new place, and that her house has sold.
Pray for Lois Borrowman: she fell and broke her tailbone. Also pray that her house would sell.
Pray for Bill Wilkinson’s mom, Stephanie who fell and broke her hip. She had an immediate hip replacement. She is now home from the hospital but is having trouble sleeping. The good news is that their daughter Kathy is able to stay with them while Stephanie recovers.
Update on Caleb Sigstad: Two weeks ago, his manager resigned resulting in him having to work a lot of overtime. Not surprisingly, he has been fighting a terrible cold. But we are super excited to announce that Caleb was hired as the new Team Lead (manager) at work! As he adjusts to his new role, let’s pray that a good Assistant Manager will be found very soon and that he will feel better soon.
Praise God that Noah Vankoughnett-Mouland has found a new job. He begins working as the part-time Barista at the Station Arts Centre in Rosthern this afternoon.
Pray for Darlene Peters who has been having some long-term health concerns. Pray for the doctors, and for effective medications.
Praise God that Sosa Iroere has found a place to live in Moose Jaw and is loving her classes and her new roomie! Pray for her new town and new school. Pray that she would find a good church and good friends.
Pray for the Board: that God would give us direction for the church, and for the fall programs.
Pray for Cathy Bendle who is recovering from ankle surgery. Praise God there was no infection in her ankle.
Pray for Jayme Borrowman whose gall stone surgery has been postponed.
Pray for Chrissy Clark’s family. Her aunt, uncle, and cousin are all battling cancer. Pray for her mom who is finding this very stressful, and it is weighing heavy on her heart. All three of the people are on Chrissy’s mother’s side.
Please continue to pray for others in our church with health issues.
Pray for our farmers: that there will be a good crop this fall. Pray for safety in the field.
Pray for the people in our congregation, or people who are connected with those who are struggling with mental health issues, particularly with anxiety and depression. Pray that they would receive the medical help needed during these difficult diagnoses and treatment. Pray that they would hear the encouragement of our Saviour over dark thoughts.
Pray for the Prodigals in our lives – that they will remember the goodness of the Father’s House and come home.
Let us pray that our congregation will grow, and that we will be able to attentively meet the needs of our visitors and regular attendees alike.
Pray for Pastor Anne Martin (former congregant of Cornerstone) who is pastoring the Pimento Walk Church in Jamaica.
Pray for the people in our community that are struggling with housing and food insecurity in Prince Albert. Pray for the community programs ministering to them.
Pray for Pastor Dyan and the Board as they listen to what God has to say about His great plans for Cornerstone. Let us continue to pray that our church will grow.
Many of our congregants (and their loved ones) are struggling with various health and mental health issues. Pray for their healing. Pray specifically for our young people who have many stresses and anxieties.

We are so very thankful for your ongoing generousity. Cornerstone keeps its doors open and participates in ministry due to your willingness to give of your tithes and offerings. In order to pay all of our bills, we need to receive about $7,000 each month. UPDATE: once a month, we will post a financial update in our bulletins.
Pray that we will meet our bills and be able to continue participating in Kingdom Building and Church Care. Please remember Cornerstone in your regular giving.
Reminder that we now have e-transfer as another way to give to the church. E-transfers go to etransfer@cfmcpa.ca Two things to remember when sending an e-transfer to Cornerstone. 1. The Security Question can be anything you like, but please ALWAYS make the Security Answer ilovemychurch (no spaces). 2. If you wish to give for a specific purpose just make a note of it in the message/comments box when you send the e-transfer.
You can also send a cheque to the church or donate during the service. 2200 – 15 Ave East . Prince Albert, Sk S6V 6J5.
Tithely is no longer an option to give to the church. If you want to give online, please use e-transfer.

Please remember to PRAY FOR OUR CONGREGATION. Be ALL IN FOR PRAYER. Below is a list of our congregants. I have divided them into five groups. My challenge is that we pray for every person in one of the groups on one particular day, AND that we try to do TEN MINUTES of prayer for our church each day. By following the schedule, we can make sure that everyone is prayed for during the week. If you notice someone missing from the list, please let Pastor Dyan know. If you would like to be added to the list, please let Pastor Dyan know. The power of prayer is amazing. Ephesians 6:18 says And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. As a pastor, it is my prayer that we all (myself included) fall in love with praying.
