Good evening, Church Family
I found this poem the other day, and I really liked it. It reminds of Jesus’ words from Matthew 9:37 when Jesus says 37 He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
The Good Harvest by Wanda Daughtery
And my neighbor had a field.
But he let it go to briars,
He was not concerned with yield.
As I passed his field one evening,
In my pocket there I found,
Four tiny seeds left over.
From those I’d planted in the ground.
So I tossed them in his garden,
Not so mindful what would be.
If they sprouted with the briars
Mid the chaos what we’d see
Summer rains and hot sun blasted.
Wind and snow upon the ground.
In the spring I gladly noted,
When there among the weeds I found.
Little plants with leaves uplifted,
Burst through the cluttered sod.
Like the Saints on Sunday morning.
Hands uplifted praising God.
Four dirty unkempt siblings
Wiggling squirming in their chairs.
No one watching no one caring,
How or why we found them there.
Rowdy, lively always talking
They put my patience to the test.
But I found that they were hungry
So I did my very best.
Jesus loved the little children
Each one precious in his eyes.
Long years passed and I am grateful.
For I found a sweet surprise
In the field where I had labored.
The word of God as best I could.
I found four happy Christians planted
Strong and faithful, that is good.

Please pray for the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and in the Middle East.
OUR MISSIONARIES: Jason and Joanne Borrowman, and Hannah. Please pray for Joanne: that her pregnancy will continue to go well. They have a very busy November, so please pray for good health for everyone.
Pray for Ewan MacLeod who has been in the hospital since Saturday. Due to the shortage of beds, he has been staying in a back area of the Emergency room for a number of days. Pray that he would heal quickly and be able to go home, however if he has to stay in longer, pray that a bed will open up for him asap.
Pray for George Hermatiuk who was diagnosed with cancer. Pray that the medical staff will have a complete understanding of everything that is happening, and how to treat him. Pray for Maryanne as well.
Pray for the Free Methodist Retirement community, Light and Life Free Methodist Park, that is in Lakeland, Florida. It was hammered by Hurricane Milton. Many folks lost everything. Pray for others hit by the hurricane.
Pray for Jayme Borrowman who finally was able to get her gallbladder surgery. Pray for her healing. Pray also for her partner, Bobby, that he would find additional work opportunities.
Pray for Caleb Sigstad who was in a car accident on Sunday that totalled his car. We praise God that he was not injured. Pray for him as he sorts out the difficulties of this situation.

Pray for Dave and Gena Cleveland as they settle into their new home in Regina. Pray for Dave as he is having ongoing health concerns.
Pray for Sandra Langlois who has some upcoming diagnostic appointments. Please pray that she will get the doctor’s “ok” to come back to church. Pray for her continued healing.
Pray for Bobbi Dorian. She had her MRI and they discovered some blood flow issues affecting nerves near her ears. With surgery, they may be able to stop the noises and problems in her right ear! This is great news. Unfortunately, it could take months before there is an opening for that surgery. Let us surround Bobbi with our prayers: that there would be a miraculous opening for that surgery in a very short time frame. Pray that the insistent ringing in her ears will stop!!
Pray for Lois Borrowman: Pray for a quick sale of her house.
Pray for Darlene Peters who has been having some long-term health concerns. Pray for the doctors, and for effective medications.
Praise God that Sosa Iroere has found a place to live in Moose Jaw and is loving her classes and her new roomie! Pray for her new town and new school. Pray that she would find a good church and good friends.
Thank you for your prayers for Pastor Dyan as she was in Niagara Falls for denominational meetings last week. They were very helpful, inspiring, and encouraging. She even took a photo of the falls taken on one of the evenings.
Pray for the Board: that God would give us direction for the church, and for the fall programs.
Pray for Chrissy Clark’s family. Her aunt, uncle, and cousin are all battling cancer. Pray for her mom who is finding this very stressful, and it is weighing heavy on her heart. All three of the people are on Chrissy’s mother’s side.
Please continue to pray for others in our church with health issues.
Pray for our farmers: that there will be a good crop this fall. Pray for safety in the field.
Pray for the people in our congregation, or people who are connected with those who are struggling with mental health issues, particularly with anxiety and depression. Pray that they would receive the medical help needed during these difficult diagnoses and treatment. Pray that they would hear the encouragement of our Saviour over dark thoughts.
Pray for the Prodigals in our lives – that they will remember the goodness of the Father’s House and come home.
Let us pray that our congregation will grow, and that we will be able to attentively meet the needs of our visitors and regular attendees alike.
Pray for Pastor Anne Martin (former congregant of Cornerstone) who is pastoring the Pimento Walk Church in Jamaica.
Pray for the people in our community that are struggling with housing and food insecurity in Prince Albert. Pray for the community programs ministering to them.

Many of our congregants (and their loved ones) are struggling with various health and mental health issues. Pray for their healing. Pray specifically for our young people who have many stresses and anxieties.

Cornerstone needs to replace one, possibly two of our furnaces. This will come to just over $10,000. We are currently unable to use the Fellowship Hall due to the cold. Please consider adding to your regular giving if you are able. Please indicate on your Offering Envelope if you are wanting to give towards the furnaces.

We are so very thankful for your ongoing generousity. Cornerstone keeps its doors open and participates in ministry due to your willingness to give of your tithes and offerings. In order to pay all of our bills, we need to receive about $7,000 each month. UPDATE: once a month, we will post a financial update in our bulletins and in this email update.
Pray that we will meet our bills and be able to continue participating in Kingdom Building and Church Care. Please remember Cornerstone in your regular giving. NOTE:
Reminder that we now have e-transfer as another way to give to the church. E-transfers go to etransfer@cfmcpa.ca Two things to remember when sending an e-transfer to Cornerstone. 1. The Security Question can be anything you like, but please ALWAYS make the Security Answer ilovemychurch (no spaces). 2. If you wish to give for a specific purpose just make a note of it in the message/comments box when you send the e-transfer.
You can also send a cheque to the church or donate during the service. 2200 – 15 Ave East . Prince Albert, Sk S6V 6J5.

Please remember to PRAY FOR OUR CONGREGATION. Be ALL IN FOR PRAYER. Below is a list of our congregants. I have divided them into five groups. My challenge is that we pray for every person in one of the groups on one particular day, AND that we try to do TEN MINUTES of prayer for our church each day. By following the schedule, we can make sure that everyone is prayed for during the week. If you notice someone missing from the list, please let Pastor Dyan know. If you would like to be added to the list, please let Pastor Dyan know. The power of prayer is amazing. Ephesians 6:18 says And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. As a pastor, it is my prayer that we all (myself included) fall in love with praying.
